The Irony of America's Supply Chain: Our Federal Government's Addiction to Foreign Cheap Labor
Foreign nationals hauling ICE vehicles may be the ultimate case of hypocrisy between our federal government and the American transportation industry.
The U.S. federal government is responsible for enforcing immigration laws, securing our borders, and deporting those here illegally. Yet Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), along with others such as the United States Postal Service (USPS) and even the Department of War, are relying on the very same cheap, unregulated foreign labor they’re supposed to restrict.
This isn’t some ignorant fear-mongering type claim. It is real, and it’s playing out on America’s highways right now. The evidence is all over social media.
Before we get too far ahead, let’s break down some key trucking basics for anyone not in the industry:
A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required to operate big rigs (semi-trucks/tractor-trailers/18-wheelers).
A non-domiciled CDL is a special version issued to drivers who aren’t permanent residents of the U.S. or the issuing state. It’s often used by foreign nationals legally allowed to work here temporarily (e.g., via work visas). But recent federal crackdowns (including emergency rules from the Department of Transportation in 2025) have highlighted massive issues: some states issued them improperly, English proficiency wasn’t always enforced, and safety records suffered. These drivers are now facing greater scrutiny, with many at risk of losing eligibility.
Out-of-service (OOS) rates measure how often a driver or truck is pulled over and ordered off the road during inspections due to violations such as unsafe equipment, hours-of-service violations, or language barriers (drivers must speak/read English well enough to understand signs and officials).
USDOT authority is the federal registration that a trucking company needs to operate legally interstate. Companies that lose it (e.g., for repeated violations) can’t haul freight legally.
Now, let’s look at the irony.
The Department of War is infiltrated with foreign trucking companies and drivers, including those who live in other countries, like Moldova and Nigeria.
*As a reminder, from the trucking companies using their “own” Electronic Logging Devices, our cargo and critical infrastructure data are being fed overseas every single day.
The United States Postal Service almost collapsed when it tried to ban unvetted non-domiciled CDL drivers from its network in late 2025. They had to reverse course immediately, and only recently announced a phased crackdown with extra vetting. Time will tell whether this really happens.
In the most outrageous case of irony, we have truck drivers with non-domiciled CDLs hauling the very SUVs ICE uses to detain and deport illegal immigrants.

This one was posted by an anti-ICE Facebook user in attempts to warn others that the vehicles are coming.
Another trucking company is hauling ICE vehicles with incredibly absurd out-of-service rates.
Another image was posted on Facebook, and the trucking company is directly connected to a ring of operations that can't seem to keep a USDOT authority for more than 9 months.
I’ve kept up with this ring of operations since they were at the top of the leaderboard for most inspections during the May 2025 Blitz Week.
They’ve never stopped trucking. They just pop up under a different company name and with a different USDOT authority. This is a serious public safety risk, but no one seems to care...
This truck wasn't hauling cars, but rather wire to secure the border. Notice that the trucking company name on the side of the truck isn't the same trucking company per the assigned USDOT Number.
Hello, feds? What the h*ll are we doing?!
ICE is raiding cities, workplaces, and borders, while at the same time, the federal government ships its own freight using the lowest-bid carriers, regardless of safety or security risk. This is a national security FAILURE.
Those low rates don’t come from efficiency. They come from undercutting American trucking companies and American drivers.
If we’re serious, we need real audits, strict enforcement of English proficiency and U.S. citizenship requirements, and an unapologetic preference for hiring American-based drivers first.
At a minimum, government freight should only be hauled by truly vetted American truckers. They’ve earned that right. And our beautiful country deserves nothing less.
